One of the most rewarding experiences has been organising KU giveaways. These events help me connect with my audience while providing an opportunity for readers to win exciting prizes. This engagement not only boosts my visibility, but also creates a wonderful sense of community among my supporters and my last giveaway took my ebook into a No.1 and 2 x No.2 categories; a huge thank you to those who propelled me to those dizzy heights!!

When supporters share their excitement on social media, it generates buzz and encourages even more participation in the next round of giveaways. It's a thrill to witness our growing family of readers come together.

School Visits

Recently, I had the joy of visiting The Gower School to connect with students. I spoke to over 100 eager young readers, sharing my journey and discussing my books. The enthusiasm in their eyes was inspiring and their questions were funny and delightful; I smiled the whole way home.

School visits provide a vital way to connect with future generations and nurture their love for literature. Knowing that I could spark interest in writing or storytelling is incredibly fulfilling. Some students even approached me after my presentations, saying they aspired to be authors themselves. That was a memorable highlight!

Launching My Etsy Store

In an exciting expansion of my creative repertoire, I launched my Etsy store! This platform allows me to offer unique items featuring Fang, Bang and the Midnight Mouse that reflect my passion for storytelling.

My shop features everything from gorgeous coffee mugs to snuggly hoodies. Each item is crafted with care. Each purchase feels like a personal connection, as I share a piece of my work with someone who values it.

Building my presence on Pinterest has opened up new channels for sharing my creative ideas. The platform enables me to visually connect with others who share similar interests.

With boards dedicated to my book themes, I hope to attract followers from our creative community followers. Pinterest has truly become a dynamic space for community building, and I love seeing how my ideas resonate with others.

A+ Content on Amazon

I've recently started enhancing my book listings on Amazon using A+ content. By providing more engaging visuals and detailed descriptions, I can create a vivid picture of my work for potential readers. Looking back, I should have prioritised this task as it has made a big difference to the look and feel of my author page and will ensure I follow my own advice for Book 2, The Call From Buckingham Palace.

It's vital to grab the attention of those browsing through countless options. A well-crafted listing can uplift sales significantly; in similar cases, authors reported a sales increase of up to 30% after implementing A+ content. I am eager to see how this strategy plays out for my books!

Learning About Amazon Ads

My exploration of Amazon Ads is an ongoing journey. This powerful marketing tool aims to increase visibility and drive sales for my books. Currently I'm advertising in the UK and USA and analysis of the data capture will be put to good use when I publish Book 2.

While the world of ads can seem daunting, I'm committed to learning and improving my strategy. I have engaged a professional to help me with this as I have a limited budget and need to target it wisely. It is a learning curve, but I'm excited to find what works best for my audience and boost my reach!

Publishing Book 2: The Call From Buckingham Palace

I can hardly contain my excitement about my upcoming second book, "The Call From Buckingham Palace," set to release this summer! This journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I can't wait for readers to immerse themselves in this new adventure.

The writing process for this book felt more purposeful and Katie's illustrations continue blow me away - I'm so lucky to have her on board! I've put in countless hours to ensure it's something special, @publishingpush are taking care of the formatting and publication and I want to run a proper launch campaign. I hope it resonates with readers as much as my first book did!

Growing My Following on Instagram

Engaging on social media has transformed how I interact with my supporters. I've made progress in growing my Instagram following, where I share glimpses of my writing process and behind-the-scenes stories and probably a but too much about my love of gardening(!)

The feedback I receive is beyond encouraging. Since I began sharing more personal content, likes and comments have doubled, showing that connection matters. Each interaction strengthens our bond, making my journey even more fulfilling. Thank you for your support, I really do appreciate it.

Using Canva to Build My Brand

To establish a cohesive identity, I've embraced Canva for designing graphics, social media posts, and promotional material.

Canva's user-friendly platform has allowed me to unleash my creativity quickly. The ability to produce eye-catching visuals will make my brand more recognizable, and I've noticed an increase in engagement on social media as a result.
